James Whitmee Here are some photos I took today which show some interesting parts of the city. This is of Banana Island which I took from the top of a tower in Lekki. Banana Island is reclaimed land in the shape of a banana off the high-end residential area of Ikoyi. It was conceived mainly as low-rise residential, although you can see that there is a cluster of high-rise building at the top end some of which are commercial, including the HQ of Zain.
Banana Island This second shot is on Victoria Island, also known as VI. This is now the prime office area of Lagos following the decline of Lagos Island, although previously it was a residential part of the city. The mirrored glass buildings are by Churchgate and are prime offices. Churchgate I (to the right) is mainly occupied by Total. They also have another office building to the right of this shot. However, they are having a new HQ constructed for them up near the Eko Hotel, so presumably will be relocating these operations. Churchgate II (to the left) has recently been constructed and is available to lease.
