James Whitmee I have been in Libreville this week researching the property market. There is a reasonable amount of construction taking place and high demand, and so little availability. Most of the apartment buildings that I have seen are being offered in multiple units as there is high demand from corporates to take entire apartment buildings. A large ex-pat apartment costs in the order of $2,500-3,000 month. It is one of the most sophisticated markets I have been to in West Africa with good infrastructure, paved roads and street lighting. French retailers are here with large supermarkets. Today I toured the industrial areas of the city which are mainly to the south in Oloumi and Owendo.
