I am in Luanda through to the end of next week. I have a local number which is +244 933 869 816. The development here continues and I get the impression that buildings are being completed more quickly than was the case in the past. The roads are also improved and although traffic may be about the worst in the world (with the 15 or so km from Luanda Sul to the city centre taking up to three hours) with the introduction of a ferry system and the construction of the coastal road it is going to get better. There are also now more hotels. In the past there were only 2-3 of acceptable corporate standard but there may now be 5 or more. I am staying at a small new one in Isla which is a good place to be. Here is a photo of the Marginal which is the road fronting the bay being the centre for Luanda's business district.
